heyya! popped back onto nekoweb after over a year and caught up on your blog posts from 2026. sounds like we've both been doing a lot of shifting lives about! i really enjoyed your blogs about I Have No Mouth, Isolation Age, responsive web design for the next generation of New Web users, your return to Skyrim, and dungeon synth. The first two speak to worries I have about the world and loneliness at the difficulty I have convincing my friends to ditch the voice chats and meet up in the meat space, and the third speaks to my hope that like a shift is coming in the wired space, perhaps a shift in the flesh space will follow suit. And the escapism and personal connection video games can hold is beautiful and I totally get why you'd return to Elder Scrolls again and again. I've been playing Kingdom Hearts since it came out in 2002 when I was a 6 y/o. I return to this series very frequently, and in a way feel a bit raised by it. I do hope that wasn't your last Elder Scrolls blog! I'd love to hear more about what it means to you, how it connects you to yourself. And perhaps your true unmasked self, too? Also the (game breaking) shenanigans are deeply amusing to read about. What the player can do in those games kinda blows my mind a bit with how ridiculous and funny it can be. And dungeon synth is a fave genre of mine I've only recently found, and super grateful for the recs and links! I'm listening to and LOVING Quest Master as I type this. (I'll be first in line to listen intently if that single of yours ever drops owo)
And did I mention I love your writing style? You have a poetic and captivating way with words. Love love love your site, keep rocking the boat Oshy, the waves you cast are breaths of fresh air.

Thank you for your kind words Nomi. I've worked many long hours on every element to attain that thoughtful design, I'm glad it's impressed you! I started from zero (no knowledge of HTML or CSS) so it was a very long road to where I am now! I'm honestly very proud of it!

your latest blog is so real. i've gone delivery driving with my girlfriend a few times and the anti-relationship between worker and consumer is fascinating to participate in. one of the skills my job takes is talking about the weather. right now, it's freezing cold and raining, and in a couple hours it should snow, and when the sun rises, it'll all melt. what's the weather like in your ocean?

Services seem to continue being designed in such a way to keep people apart, or to abstract the relationship between people as much as possible. Some headlines recently went around about how Burger King was planning to record everything their workers said on the clock and grade them based on it. Horrific. This kind of thing just creates more barriers to having any kind of real connection with your fellow humans. The corpos want us to just be cogs in the machine doing our duties and then sulking away back to the privacy of our chambers. Thats no way to live; it's lonely!
The weather is pleasant here. I'm very excited for the coming of spring. The wind still carries a bit of a winter chill to it, but the trees are starting to bloom and the colors of spring are evident. It's a matter of time!

Good luck on your first page! The most important part at the beginning is making sure it's working and functional. It doesn't have to be pretty yet. You can make it pretty piece by piece as time goes by.

I absolutely love Lunacid so much. I think it's ascended into the 'all time favorites' zone. You can feel free to use the 88x31 Lunacid button I made if you desire. No need to credit me!

im glad you liked my site!! i really like the shrine page, ive been meaning to play fatum betula (only played a bit) but instantly recognized the screenshots.. love the runescape shrine too, old mmos are actually a huge interest of mine even though i was too young to play them at the right time... your blog posts are really interesting too and make me want to write more, especially about the video games i like.

Thank you for your kind words. It means a lot coming from someone who is as skilled at webdev as you are. Writing about video games is fun, and I kind of naturally gravitate towards it for better or worse; sometimes it's interesting to chew on an idea you have for a blog while playing the game. The best way to get better at writing is to simply do more writing, so I just post whatever ideas I have floating around. In 2026, I would still recommend Old School Runescape! Some of that magical feeling of playing the game in 2007 is still there in present day.

I just read your Lunacid review and saw your mention of the music. I don't make dungeonsynth really, but you're welcome to give my ambient works on my 'Music' page a listen, and if you like them, you're welcome to download them for free. There's a link to the Internet Archive for each album (for now, I'm going to redesign some things, so the links will continue to be there, though the section will be structured differently).
In other news, I'm certainly enjoying the quest. Funny thing, the scroll in the courtyard touches on a similar subject as the next entry I post. I had posted it on cohost originally, and it's specific to AO3 atm, but I can edit it.
